mtDNA M系統

ミトコンドリアDNA・ハプログループMは、多くの亜系統を包含した巨大なハプログループであり、ネイティブ・アフリカン以外の総てのミトコンドリア・ハプログループは、M系統かN系統のマクロ・ハプログループの子孫となります。アジアでM系統の分岐種が高頻度で見つかるため、ハプログループMの系統は、約6万年前にアジアで誕生した種類であると考えられている(注1)。

 

注1)Mitochondrial haplogroup M is a huge haplogroup, encompassing many sublineages. All mitochondrial haplogroups considered native outside of Africa are descendants either of the M or N macro-haplogroups. The M haplogroup is thought to have evolved in Asia around 60,000 years ago. This assumption is based on the high frequency and variability of M subclades in Asia.
