Klaus（クラウス）はDon't Starve TogetherにA New Reignで追加されたボスモンスターです。彼は大きいKrampus（クランパス）のような見た目しています。プレイヤーがDeer AntlerをLoot Stashに使用すると、Deer Antlerは正しいカギではないため壊れてBone Shardsになり、クラウスが赤と青の Gem Deer（ジェムディアー）を一匹ずつ連れて現れます。これらのジェムディアーを殺してしまうとクラウスを激怒させてしまい、体力と攻撃力を上昇させ、さらに64％のダメージ軽減を持つようになります。クラウスはまた、戦闘中にクランパスたちを呼び出す能力ももっています。
クラウスを一度倒すと、彼の体についていた鎖が外れ、おなかにおおきな口が現れた姿で復活します。この口で射程の長いかみつき攻撃をしてくるようになります。
もう一度クラウスを倒すことで、木炭2つとモンスターの肉、そしてLoot Stashの正しいカギであるStag Antler をドロップします。Loot Stashを開けることで6つのGiftを得ることができます。もしクラウスが倒されたときにジェムディアーが生きていた場合、彼らは額にはまっていた宝石を落として、ふつうのNo-Eyed Deerにもどるでしょう
トリビア[]
- クラウスは「Winter's Feast」アップデート及び同名のイベント中に追加されました。
- Klaus（クラウス）という名前はNikolaus（ニコラス）の短縮形であり、サンタクロースの起源である聖ニコラスに由来しています。
- 目が大きな×印に縫い合わされており目が見えないにもかかわらず、彼はプレイヤーの後を追ってくるため鋭い嗅覚を持っている可能性があります。（実際臭いを嗅いで様子を探る仕草を見せます）
- クラウスは専用BGMを2つ持っている最初のボスキャラクターになります。（2番目はAncient Fuelweaverです。体力がある程度減り、Woven Shadowを召喚し始めるタイミングで2つ目のBGMが流れます）
- お腹の噛み付き攻撃はKleiの公式MODゲーム「The Screecher」に出てくる怪物の攻撃と少し似ています。
- クラウスは眠るときになぜか自身の目を手で覆います。
- クラウスの身に着けている装飾品は旧デザインの命のお守りに似ています。（初期は四角ではなく、八角形のデザインだった）
