Grainy Transmission（ぼやけた通信映像）（映像の人物はWagstaff（ワグスタッフ））はDon't Starve Togetherにおける「Return of Them」アップデートにて追加されたNPCです。謎のエネルギーが生成された後発生する月嵐内に出現します。また、天界の覇者の最終形態に勝利した後にも現れます。
月嵐内で初めて会った時はワグスタッフからアストローグルと未完成の実験の設計図を貰えます。プレイヤーが複数人いる場合は人数分の設計図を貰えます。
アストローグルを装備していればワグスタッフがいる方向を示すアイコンが画面の端に表示されます。（他のプレイヤーが画面外にいるときに表示されるものと同じ）

ワグスタッフは月嵐内のどこかに出現しますが、近づくと別の方向へ移動してしまいます。近づいてはどこかに移動する…という過程を4回繰り返すとワグスタッフは移動を止め、その場でRestrained Staticの作成を開始します。プレイヤーはこの機械の作成作業を安全に終えるために手助けをしなくてはなりません。
作業中はムーンブラインドクロウとミスシェイパンバードの群れが機械を壊しに近づいてきます。機械には100HPの体力が設定されており、攻撃を受け続けて体力が0になると作業は失敗に終わり、ワグスタッフを追いかけるところからやり直しになります。
また、作業中は周囲に5種類の道具が出現するようになります。ワグスタッフはその道具を持ってくるよう指示するのでプレイヤーは正しい道具を持ってくる必要があります。通常のキャラクターはワグスタッフが指示する道具の名称が識別できません。（「Reticulating Buffer」は「Odd Tool」、「Widget Deflubber」は「Weird Tool」というように別の名称で表示される）しかしウィノナでプレイしている場合のみ道具の名称が正しく表示されます。渡した道具はしばらくするとまた周辺に出現します。
作業が無事完了すると、ワグスタッフはRestrained Staticをプレイヤーに託して姿を消します。このとき道具は消え、月嵐も収まります。

- ぼやけた通信映像（ワグスタッフ）はReturn of Themの「Eye of the Storm」アップデートで追加されました。
- コンソールでワグスタッフや作業に使う道具を呼び出すと、夜間に光を放ちます。
- WX-78でワグスタッフや道具を調べたときのセリフから、彼にかなり否定的な感情を抱いているのが読み取れます。さらに月の吸引機を調べたときのセリフでは、はっきりとワグスタッフを信じてはいけないとも言っています。
