テックは、キャラクターの移動力を強化し、新たな能力を装備できる拡張機能です。

Outpostのテック・ラボにいるElliottに話しかけて、基本のテックが獲得できるクエストを開始します。Copper Bar（10）を渡してチャレンジコースに挑戦し、走破すれば最初のテックを入手することができます。それは入手した時点でインベントリ ウィンドウに装備されています。
テックはチャレンジコースをクリアするごとに増えていき、頭、体、脚のカテゴリで最大３つ装備することになります。

テックの購入[]

プレイヤーは基本となる３つのテックを取得した後、ラボの左側に設置されたTech Console Dispenser からTech Console にアクセスして、新たなテックの購入や、入手済みのテックを取り換えることができます。基本のテック以外を購入するにはtech cards が8枚必要です。

頭のテック[]

頭のテックは、プレイヤーが小さな球に変身する能力で、それぞれにユニークな効果を備えています。

この変身は[F]を押して起動し、そして再びFを押すまで変身は維持されます。 スフィアに変身している間はエネルギー再生が停止し、また通常と同じようにダメージも受けます。  アップグレードされた各種スフィアには、追加能力によってスフィアの有用性が増しています。プレイヤーは、一度に1つのヘッドテックしか装備することができません。

体のテック[]

体のテックは水平移動の変化をプレイヤーに与えます。それらは全て右または左に素早くダブルタップすることで起動します。Sprint以外の体のテックはエネルギーを使用しませんが、再使用までのクールダウンタイムが設定されています。プレイヤーは、一度に1つのボディテックしか装備することができません。

脚のテック[]

脚のテックはプレイヤーのジャンプアクションを拡張し、変化を与えます。これらのテックにはエネルギー コストがありませんが、着地するまで再使用できません。プレイヤーは、一度に1つのレッグテックしか装備することができません。

Protection Bio-Implants(アップデートにより廃止)[]

In early beta specialized tech provided players protection against planetary environmental effects like heat, cold and radiation. These techs were replaced with environmental protection packs (EPPs) which provide the same environmental protection.

There are a number of techs which have been replaced, or disabled. They are not available through normal gameplay.
