Command Points (CP) are a resource that players gain by building various base upgrades. They are required for the construction of any ship. Construction of a ship ties up a number of points, depending on the model or variant (most models all variants have the same CP cost). Points are released back when the ship is retired or destroyed in battle.
There is also a limit on the number of CP that can be added to any un-reinforced fleet. Reinforcements are limited to a certain number of ships, usually 5, and do not count against this limit. At the opening of each server, the Fleet Command Center in Expansion zone 1 gives the player a maximum fleet size of 300 CP. Once the player has reached Expansion zone 9, construction of each level of the Field Command Center will increase this limit by an additional 10 points per level, giving a maximum of 400 CP per unreinforced fleet. In addition, there are three Docking points that temporarily increase the fleet CP limit as long as the player's base is docked there:
- Long-Range Command Branch: +15 CP per fleet
- Cooperative Engagement Facility: +30 CP per fleet
- Field Command Center: +50 CP per fleet
There are also two docking points that temporarily increase the number of ships that can reinforce a fleet:
- Small Supply Depot: +1 ship (6 total)
- Transit Supply Center: +4 ships (9 total)
This gives a theoretical maximum CP of a single fleet of 805CP: 300 (starting limit) + 100 (10 levels of the Field Command Center) + 405 (nine 45 CP ships)
Users earn CP in three independent pools:
Resource port[]
Points in this pool can only be used for building utility ships. They are earned for the following upgrades:

Military port[]
Points in this pool may be used for all warships except aircraft. They are earned for the following upgrades:
- Expansion zone 1 - Generic Port I at level 5, adds 30 Military Port Command Points
- Expansion zone 2 - Generic Port II at level 5, adds 30 points
- Expansion zone 3 - Generic Port III at level 5, adds 50 points
- Expansion zone 4 - Generic Port IV at level 5, adds 50 points
- Expansion zone 5 - Military Port I at level 5, adds 200 points
- Expansion zone 7 - Military Port II at level 5, adds 190 points
- Expansion zone 8 - Military Port III at level 5, adds 250 points
- Expansion zone 9 - Military Port IV at level 10, adds 500 points
Giving a total of 1,300 points.
Aircraft[]
For aircraft, points are not counted (even though they are listed). Rather, the total number of aircraft is limited - that is fighters and corvettes. Capacity is earned for the following upgrades:
- Expansion zone 5 - Aircraft Assembly Line at level 10 adds 40 capacity
- Expansion zone 5 - Aircraft Hangar I at level 5 adds 40 capacity
- Expansion zone 8 - Aircraft Hangar II at level 5 adds 40 capacity
Giving the player a total capacity of 120 aircraft.
